Scheduler I-Energy Division

We are looking for a Program/ Project Scheduler to join our team and consult for a local electric utility company managing transmission, substation, and distribution projects. The successful candidate will possess medium to expert level capabilities in Primavera P6 software including the knowledge required for resource loading, resource leveling, cost loading, and schedule analysis. He/ She will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and superior organization and planning skills.

Location:  San Diego, CA

Essential Duties:

  • Help create the process and procedures for scheduling substation projects
  • Provide expert advice on developing schedule templates
  • Develop and maintain dozens of project schedules in the program
  • Identify relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for various programs
  • Monitor and actively participate on project and program issues and Earned Value analysis
  • Perform needed QA/QC on program schedules to conform with program goals and various
    construction projects
  • Perform status updates on Program Schedule/Master Schedule including activities update and data gathering from various sources and databases
  • Proactively anticipate schedule impacts and advise Project Team concerning changes and issues
    on schedule impacts
  • Consult with project team and recommend solutions to improve products and services
  • Perform Program Level analysis and reporting
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as directed by management
  • Communicate and coordinate between individual and departments to manage the program
    schedule and update process
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management (work experience may substitute for degree)
  • Min. 3 - 10 years of experience in Program/ Project Scheduling, preferably with electric distribution experience
  • Experience creating and maintaining dozens of projects at once
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 version 6 or higher
  • Knowledge of Scheduling Procedures for Master Schedule Management
  • Understanding of database architecture to map various fields in multiple tables.
  • Ability to work as a team member and communicate with multiple schedulers.
  • A valid driver's license and compliance with our vehicle policy is required. Candidate must be willing to travel locally to multiple projects when necessary:
